One of my Favorite vintage planes Ive Flown Stinson Reliant N1942A, Based at the Tillamook Air Museum in Oregon OR till the mid 2000’s Was owned and Operated by a Very Nice Man named Larry who sadly passed away a few years ago. Once the plane was in climb out he said the plane is yours and I got to fly it at least 3 different times over the years, including the only time I was able to fly My Sister before her passing. it may not be the most fuel efferent bird but full tanks, full seats, full Americans, no brainer.

The newer condition Blimp Hanger & Museum around 02′ pic taken from N1942A, sadly its in dis-repair now days, eclipsed by the Evergreen Aviation Museum near by. still brings back good memories of the many trips to it with my Family.

PARK 'N Fly - Airport Parking Reservations

In March of 2014 I got to visit the blimp hanger / museum again, it seemed like ghost from the past bringing back a bunch of old memories. For anyone who is interested in WW2 aviation history its worth seeing as these giant wood frame blimp hangers are becoming fewer in number every year. 2 unique aircraft in the collection when I was their was a FW-190 & a Nakajima Ki-43 Oscar

I hope this rare building can be refurbished & remains open to the public.

The building where Larry used to operate his aircraft ride business looks like it’s been out of commission for years.

The Mammoth sliding door frame

Some engines on display near the edge of the Hangar

PBY

A Basketball hoop at the top of the hangar, good luck making that shot

The wheel assembly for the door

Gift shop and malt shop inside where still in good shape
